Tech giant Microsoft has recently confirmed four new specialty stores in the United States supposed to bring its key products, including Windows 8 and Surface tablets, closer to potential buyers.

Specialty stores represent a new concept embraced by Microsoft that basically comes down to smaller kiosks set up in shopping centers and malls and employing a limited number of workers.

The four new locations to host special stores are: Westfield Galleria at Roseville (Roseville, Calif.), The Parks at Arlington (Arlington, Texas), Twelve Oaks (Novi, Mich.), and Pacific Place (Seattle). The first one will open its doors in May, while the other three will become available in June.

“Microsoft aims to provide a premium retail experience that is entertaining, educational and as easy as possible with these new locations,” the company said in a statement.
