Microsoft has just announced that this month’s Patch Tuesday cycle will bring a total of eight different security updates, most of which are aimed at the Windows operating system.

The company has revealed on the advance notification page that three of the updates to be released on November 12 are rated as “critical” and are supposed to fix flaws in Windows, with both XP and 8 among the versions to be patched.

As usual, Microsoft hasn’t provided us with any specifics regarding the security flaws to be patched next week, as the company wants to make sure that no public exploits are developed before the fixes are officially released.

Of course, users will get all patches via Windows Update, so make sure that your Windows computer is connected to the Internet next Tuesday to get all bulletins as soon as possible.
