We already uncovered information on most of the items that will run Microsoft Windows and are scheduled for this fall, but the company has now made an announcement of its own, where it says exactly what its plans are.

Windows 8 may not be due for a few months still, but this doesn't mean Microsoft is going to take a break from its Windows 7 activities any time soon.

In fact, the company just made an official announcement (complete with a slide show) where it outlines the collection of Windows-loaded devices that will have debuted by the end of this fall.

Many of them we already covered, courtesy of leaks or previous formal revelations.

The Acer Aspire S3 Utrabook, for instance, is something that many users are looking forward to seeing out and about (October, 2011), since they will finally get a good feel of this whole super-thin laptop concept, even if they will have to pay €799, ($1,090) for it.

Another laptop mentioned was the ASUS UX, powered by an Intel Core i7 central processing unit. It will ship before this month (September) is out.

A third device that got an honorary mention is the Dell Inspiron 14z, also set for September (i3 or i5-based machine).

HP's Pavilion dm1 also got a spot in the slide show, a machine that will offer either an Intel Core i3 or the AMD E-450 APU (accelerated processing unit). It should already be found online.

Up next is a laptop that seems more focused on battery life (power efficiency) than performance, the Lenovo IdeaPad U360s, 13-inch notebook with Intel Corei3/i5/i7.

Samsung also has a notebook in the works, one that will arrive in october, bearing the name of Series 7 Chronos. It boasts a 15-inch screen on a 14-inch case (oddly enough) and has 8 GB of flash built right into the mainboard.

The last laptop listed there is the Toshiba Portege z835, really another of these so-called Ultrabooks.

There were two other items that users can expect to see: the Samsung Series 7 tablet (October) and the Lenovo Vaio L all-in-one PC (this month).

The Vaio has a 3 TB HDD and a 3D LCD touchscreen, plus HDMI and a TV tuner to set it apart from the rest of its kind.

Prospective buyers should already be able to find at least some of the above in stores, so all they need to do is start browsing.
