Microsoft seems to be really keen on clearing out stocks of its Surface tablets before the debut of the second-generation, so the company has announced a new special discount in the US.

Attendees of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) next month can purchase a Surface RT with 64 GB of storage space and a Touch Cover for only $99.99 (€75.5), while a Surface Pro with 128 GB will be offered for $399.99 (€300).

“In addition to this offer, attendees will be able to see and touch the latest Windows 8 devices and software at our expansive device showcase, customer immersion experience area and device sessions throughout the week,” Microsoft explained in the official announcement.

Microsoft is believed to be already working on the second-generation Surface tablet, with the public appearance set to take place at the BUILD developer conference next month.
