Microsoft has launched the Office Store earlier this year, but according to statistics provided by the tech giant, the new platform is quickly growing in popularity.

In fact, the Office Store has grown so much that it recently reached the 1 million downloads milestone, with figures very likely to increase as more apps are published.

“With the continuing momentum of the Office Store, we are delighted to share that starting this spring we'll begin supporting Chinese, Russian, Dutch, Brazilian (Portuguese) and Italian language apps alongside the opening of 8 additional store fronts (Russia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Brazil),” the company announced in an attempt to support the growth of the Store.

The Office Store was specifically designed to allow users to download third-party apps for the company’s productivity tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Access. Most of them are available with a freeware license and can bring productivity to a completely new level.
