Rumors regarding a possible connection of China blogging service Sina Weibo to the Microsoft account aren’t quite new, but it seems like the software company has finally decided to give the green light to this plan.

LiveSide.net writes that starting this morning, Sina Weibo users can see their contacts on the Windows Phone, Windows 8 and Outlook.com through the dedicated apps created in this regard.

In addition, they can view contacts’ statuses on both the Phone and the operating system and post updates from the mobile device.

SkyDrive integration is also available for those who wish to share file and folder links with Sina Weibo followers.

Microsoft is yet to announce this merger in an official release, but the company is slowly rolling out the updates for all users, so in case you’re not seeing any change for the time being, you should wait for a few more hours.
