Microsoft has recently announced a new deal with famous photo sharing platform 500px to enhance the Bing homepage image with even more high-quality pictures.

The Bing homepage image has been created to showcase specific places around the planet, thus trying to give users the chance to explore the world while searching for information online.

With this new update, Microsoft is looking to kill two birds with one stone: bring great photos on the Bing homepage and get closer to photographers who finally have a chance to get themselves noticed using a highly-popular search engine.

“In the coming months, we will highlight select images from over 2.5 million members of the 500px community thru selected parts of the Bing.com experience. As a passionate photographer myself, I am particularly excited about the platform and exposure this will provide to photographers around the world,” Lawrence Ripsher, head of Program Management and Design, Bing User Experiences, explains.
