Innovation, performance and growth are the three pillars of this year’s Asia High Tech Summit which Microsoft will host on October 26 and 27. According to the Redmond company, the event will be focused on highlighting the global challenges faced by high-tech and electronics manufacturers, while also attempting to provide solutions designed to catalyze future success. In the race for boosted market share, increasingly loyal customers and strong partner and supplier relationships, high-tech and electronics manufacturers can of course leverage a range of products not only from Microsoft but also from its partners. It’s by no coincidence that the official theme of the Microsoft 2009 Asia High Tech Summit is "Seize the Opportunity: Innovation in a Connected World."

“In the current economic turmoil, some firms will have great difficulty surviving and weathering the storm, but others will use this opportunity to emerge as leaders and position themselves for stronger future growth,” said Sanjay Ravi, worldwide managing director, High Tech and Electronics Industry, Microsoft.

The Microsoft Asia High Tech Summit will offer high-tech and electronics industry leaders a chance to share their own insights into catalyzing innovation and fueling operational efficiencies. At the same time, the Redmond company along with its partners will present a variety of solutions designed to optimize business operations.

“Building market share today is critical for long-term success in the high-tech and electronics industry. To prepare for an upturn in the economy, high-tech companies must achieve greater innovation, customer intimacy, and sales and marketing effectiveness. Familiar and easy-to-use, role-based productivity solutions and new software-plus-services capabilities that help reduce the time-to-decision by embracing and extending the reach of line-of-business applications to more people within an organization, as well as across partners and customers in the high-tech and electronics value chain, will be a key enabler,” Ravi added.

Microsoft noted that a number of partners would showcase solutions at the event including Accenture plc, Dassault Systemes, Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC), Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software Inc., Infosys Technologies Ltd. and Camstar Systems Inc. The company’s partners will be joined by the following high-tech and electronics industry customers Canon Inc., LG Electronics, Quanta Computer Inc., Samsung, TDK-Lambda UK, Ltd and Toshiba Corp.
