Microsoft sure had a lot of things prepared for the Tokyo Game Show. After teaming up with Square Enix and deploying one of the biggest stands at the presentation, racking up almost 140 demo booths for its Xbox 360 console, the company made its top announcements yesterday, during its TGS keynote.

First of all, the new dashboard update got a firm release date, and second of all, as a major blow to Sony, the next title in the very popular fighting franchise Tekken will also be coming to the Xbox 360.

The New Xbox Experience, which has been very talked about these past weeks, with the demo site up and running and the PR department at Microsoft releasing new screenshots everyday, has a firm release date – the day you will be saying goodbye to the old blade system is November 19 – and not just in the United States, but in the whole world. That's great news for users outside North America, who didn't want to be neglected by Microsoft.

Next up, another Sony exclusive series will be appearing on the Xbox 360, after Grand Theft Auto, namely the classic fighting game franchise Tekken, which will have its sixth title coming to Microsoft's console. Namco Bandai, the developer behind this great series, will indeed bring this title along with the new Bloodline Rebellion update, which has been sent to the arcades in which Tekken 6 can already be played. Besides game fixes, the update also features two new characters, Alisa Boskonovich and Lars Alexanderson.

All in all, the guys at Microsoft are very happy with these announcements, and, after launching a very impressive new user interface, getting another one of Sony's former exclusive titles to their console is great news.
