Tablets with phoning capabilities are starting to see a rise in demand everywhere and India is no exception. So to take advantage of the trend, Micromax is just gearing up to unleash a new slate entitled FunBook Mini P410, which will come bundled with dual-SIM capabilities.

The slate doesn’t offer an incredible list of specifications, but customers will be able to use it for basic operations like checking social media or streaming videos. The FunBook is a 7-inch device featuring a resolution of 1024 x 500 pixels.

Power is provided by a 1GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The slate ships with 4GB of internal memory with the possibility of extending it to 32GB. Two cameras are provided, a 2MP rear one and a 0.3 VGA front snapper.

Micromax has added a 2800 mAh battery that might not bring much of a battery life, but then again the slate is not supposed to be used for complicated operations. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Customers can purchase their device via Flipkart for the price of Rs 8820 / $143 / €105.
