Soon, mobile phone users in India will be able to purchase two new smartphones coming from Micromax, in the form of Canvas Blaze HD and Canvas Duet II.

The Canvas Duet II has already been spotted at various retailers out there, with a price tag of Rs. 15,500 ($250/€183) attached to it, despite the fact that it hasn’t been officially announced as of now.

Today, the mobile phone can be seen on this page on the phone maker’s website, where it sports model number EG111, while packing dual-SIM capabilities with support for both GSM and CDMA networks.

In fact, this is the main selling point of the new handset: the option to stay connected on both types of networks at the same time, something that many users are looking for.

On top of that, Canvas Duet II comes with some appealing specifications packed inside, including a powerful 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, which should deliver a fast experience to its users.

There is also a 5.3-inch HD touchscreen to enjoy photos, videos, and web browsing while on the go, along with the features included inside the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. This might not be the latest platform release out there, but it still has a lot to offer.

Micromax Canvas Duet II (EG111) is also listed with an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, a 2MP front camera for video calling, and 4GB of internal memory, to save the photos and videos you want to shoot. If that is not enough, you’ll be able to add up to 32GB of storage via a microSD memory card slot.

The same as Canvas Duet II, the yet unannounced Canvas Blaze HD features GSM and CDMA network support, along with dual-SIM capabilities, for expanded connectivity options while on the go.

However, it is smaller, offering only a 5-inch IPS display, still capable of a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. You can see it listed at Micromax as EG116 today, yet no info on its pricing or availability has been provided as of now.

According to the official listing, Micromax decided to go for a 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 processor for this smartphone, though it did attach 1GB of RAM to it as well. Overall, this should translate into pretty decent performance capabilities.

The main specs of Canvas Blaze HD are similar to those of Canvas Duet II, except for the battery, which is a 2000mAh one, compared to the 2300mAh unit inside the latter.

Micromax has yet to make an official announcement on these two smartphones, though it should not be too long before this happens, especially now that they are listed online. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
