Micromax is the first handset maker to launch a Windows Phone in India. In fact, the Indian OEM revealed that its new Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092 would be available for purchase beginning next month, but Micromax is still the first to announce new Windows Phone handsets.

If you are not content with what Micromax announced, then you will be pleased to know that the Indian company has another Windows Phone handset in the pipeline, and this one will be a beast.

According to Igyaan, Micromax's CMO Shubhodip Pal confirmed that his company would launch another Windows Phone handset in the coming months, boasting a huge 6-inch display:

“Put it on Record! We will have a 6 inch Windows Phone in the coming months and will many more phones that you will hear about soon,” said Micromax's CMO.

Micromax's 6-inch smartphone is expected to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, but we're still waiting for official word to confirm the rest of the phablet's specs.

Obviously, the device will be powered by Microsoft's latest Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, though we expect the smartphone to lack any Nokia Lumia exclusive apps and services.

This means that Micromax fans who purchase the 6-inch smartphone will have to use Microsoft's apps and services instead.

We will keep an eye out for any additional details on the matter and will update the news, so stay tuned for more on this one.
