Indian handset maker Micromax is about to debut a new Android phone in the country. Dubbed A100, the smartphone will soon go on sale in India for Rs 9,999 (180 USD or 145 EUR) outright.

Micromax A100 is now listed by major retailer Homeshop18, but the device is currently out of stock, which suggests that the Indian company plans to release the A100 within the next couple of days.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone boasts a large 5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel rear photo snapper and a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery.

In addition, Micromax A100 is said to pack 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The handset is expected to be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, as well as dual-SIM support.
