Indian mobile phone maker Micromax is gearing up for the release of a new device in its Hero series of handsets, and rumor has it that this phone will feature model number A120 when launched.

The upcoming handset is supposedly set to land on shelves with about the same hardware specifications as the Micromax Canvas 2 Colours, due to the similarity in model numbers, a recent article on micromaxcanvas.co.in reads.

Thus, the yet unannounced handset should land on shelves with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution, as well as with a 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582 processor packed inside.

The specifications list of this device also includes 1GB of RAM, as well as 4GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the new device will pack an 8-megapixel camera, most probably with full HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a 2MP front camera for video calling.

The mobile phone is also expected to arrive on shelves with dual-SIM capabilities packed inside (GSM + GSM), as well as with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.

No specific info on the availability and pricing of Micromax Hero A120 has been provided as of now, and you should take the info above with a grain of salt until confirmation on the matter is provided.
