Micromax has finally announced the upcoming availability of its latest Android flagship smartphone, the Canvas Turbo. Customers in India will be able to purchase this high-end device beginning October 26 for only Rs 19,990 ($325/€235) outright.

Leaked more than a week ago, Micromax Canvas Turbo seems to offer one of the best quality/price ratio on the Indian market. Obviously, we can’t confirm it yet, as the smartphone still has to make its debut in India.

Although the smartphone has been confirmed to arrive with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, it supports OTA (over the air) updates, so Micromax can offer major software upgrades.

According to fonearena, the Canvas Turbo will come with BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) application pre-loaded, as well as other apps such as Hike, Spuul, Kingsoft Office, M!Security, M!Unlock, M!Live and Game-hub.

The Canvas Turbo sports a large 5-inch IPS CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone packs a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of microSD card slot for memory expansion.

On the back, Micromax Canvas Turbo boasts an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

There’s also a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which is perfect for video calls, but can also capture movies while on the go. The phone’s camera features several interesting apps, such as Camerazzi, Cinemagraph and Object Eraser.

The Canvas Turbo offers dual-SIM support (GSM / WCDMA) with Dual Standby, as well as FM Radio, HSPA+, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Last but not least, Android enthusiasts in India should know that the smartphone features an aluminum case and is powered by a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
