It looks like in light of the new smartphone releases on the Indian market, Micromax has decided to upgrade one of its powerful devices that were released earlier this year with an older version of Android.

If you’re not familiar with the Micromax Canvas Knight A350, then you should know that the smartphone was initially released with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and although it packs high-end specs, it’s still behind in comparison with the latest releases that offer much lower specs but newer software.

Obviously, we’re referring to the recently announced Micromax Unite 2 and Canvas Gold, which are priced much lower, but ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat platform onboard.

In order to boost Canvas Knight A350 sales once again, Micromax has decided to include the KitKat platform on this smartphone as well, but not as an update.

Unfortunately for owners of the Canvas Knight A350, an update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat is not available for download yet. Instead, all Micromax Canvas Knight A350 units that are now available for purchase via the Indian company’s official webstore are powered by KitKat.

It’s unclear whether or not Micromax will offer a downloadable update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Canvas Knight A350, but we will keep an eye out for any additional details on the matter, so stay tuned.
