The smartphone runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system

Indian mobile phone maker Micromax has been rumored lately to plan the release of an Android handset featuring model number A190, and the phone has already emerged as available for purchase in India, under the name of Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190.

Just as previous reports on the matter suggested, the handset arrives on shelves with a 1.5GHz hexa-core MediaTek processor, while also featuring 1GB of RAM to ensure appealing performance capabilities.

The specs list of this device also includes 8GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. The handset is powered by a 2000mAh battery, which should offer long usage times.

The handset sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) touchscreen display protected by Gorilla Glass, and an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with LED flash and HD video recording capabilities. A 2MP front camera is also available on the device.

Connectivity-wise, the smartphone features 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth capabilities, along with dual-SIM functionality. Canvas HD Plus A190 is running under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

As AndroidOS notes, the new mobile phone can already be seen at online retailer Infibeam, with a price tag of Rs. 13,500 ($225/€165) attached to it. Listed in Black-Gold and White-Gold color flavors, the smartphone should go official soon.
