Micromax has just announced the Unite 2, the world's first smartphone with 21 languages, in India, but this is not the only smartphone that the Indian OEM plans to launch this week.

The Indian company is set to release another affordable Android smartphone, the Canvas Engage A091, which is now listed on eBay India.

Even though the smartphone is now available for purchase in this country via eBay, Micromax has yet to make the Canvas Engage official.

Anyway, those who don't care about official word can now grab the Micromax Canvas Engage for only Rs 6,199 ($105 / €78) outright, which is a great deal considering the smartphone's specs sheet.

The Canvas Engage is even cheaper than the Micromax Unite 2, which has yet to be released on the market, even though the Indian company has promised that it will go on sale on May 22.

Anyway, the Unite 2 has its strong points, while the Canvas Engage has something else to offer, so it's up to customers in India to choose whichever smartphone fits their needs best.

According to the listing on eBay, the Canvas Engage ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box, which is a big advantage over other smartphones in the same price range that usually come with an older version of Android.

As expected, the Canvas Engage offers dual-SIM support (GSM / GSM) and comes equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor.

The phone's processor is complemented by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, but only 1GB remains available for users to install apps and games. Fortunately, the smartphone also packs microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, Micromax Canvas Engage features a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and HD (720p) video recording, while in the front, there's a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

The smartphone comes preloaded with various games (Burm the Rope, Smash It, Marbles) and apps (Kingsoft, Getit, Opera Mini, M! Live, Hike, MiGames, Games Club, Reverie phonebook and Smartpad).

Micromax Canvas Engage also comes with various connectivity options, including 3G HSDPA (21Mbps), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS support, microUSB and FM Radio.

It is also worth mentioning that the affordable Android smartphone is powered by a 1500 mAh battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 200 hours of standby time or up to 5.5 hours of talk time.

Although there's no word on when exactly the Canvas Engage will be made official in India, we expect Micromax to put it on sale through other retailers very soon.
