Today, Indian mobile phone maker Micromax has made official yet another affordable smartphone on its homeland market, in the form of Micromax Bolt A69, which was listed on the company’s website with a price tag of Rs. 5,999 ($100/€72) attached to it.

Just as its price tag suggests, the new device lands on the market with entry-level hardware specifications, though it should still be able to provide users with decent levels of performance.

The new member of the popular Micromax Bolt series comes with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display that should be able to deliver an FWVGA resolution, and it also features a 1GHz dual-core Broadcom BCM21663 processor inside.

Moreover, Micromax has unveiled the smartphone with 512MB of RAM inside, as well as with 4GB of internal storage, and with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, the new mobile phone features a 5-megapixel camera, which should be able to offer video recording functionality to all users. It is complemented by a VGA camera for making video calls while on the go.

The specifications list of the new Micromax Bolt A69 also includes dual-SIM capabilities, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an 1800mAh battery. The smartphone arrives on shelves with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top right from the start.

As AndroidOS notes, the smartphone is currently available for purchase in India through Infibeam with a price tag of Rs. 5,999 ($100/€72) attached to it, but it can also be found at Indiatimes Shopping at only Rs. 5,790 ($96/€69).
