Micromax Bolt A61 is the name of the next Android smartphone to be released in India. Judging by the phone’s specs sheet that leaked recently on the OEM’s website, Bolt A61 won’t get an official launch event.

However, we expect it to go on sale in India very soon for a price that will probably be disclosed closer to release. Fonearena reports that Micromax Bolt A61 will be available in grey color, but we don’t rule out additional color options for the smartphone.

As with all smartphones launched by Indian OEMs, Micromax Bolt A61 comes with dual-SIM support with dual standby. In addition, the Bolt A61 offers 3G connectivity for blazing fast mobile data speeds.

The fact that it comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box may be considered one of its downsides if we take into consideration the fact that there is quite a high number of devices with similar specs that run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Unfortunately, the sub-par 2-megapixel rear-facing camera with fixed focus doesn’t make things better. Luckily, at least it has LED flash, so users will be able to take shots in low light environments. The good news is that the smartphone features VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Furthermore, Micromax Bolt A61 sports a decent 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixel resolution. The phone offers both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, along with FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack.

On the inside, the handset comes equipped with a 1 GHz single-core Spreadtrum SC7710 processor, which is complemented by 256MB of RAM and 512MB of storage, which can be further expanded up to 16GB via microSD memory card.

Last but not least, Micromax Bolt A61 is powered by an 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide up to 4 hours of talk time or up to 160 hours of standby time.
