A new Micromax smartphone has become available for purchase in India as part of the company’s popular Bolt series, namely the Micromax Bolt A069.

The handset can now be seen listed on eBay.in with a price tag of only Rs. 5,301 ($88/€65) attached to it, which makes it a highly appealing device for users on a budget.

As you can imagine, at this price tag, the new mobile phone will provide only entry-level features, but it will still have some pretty decent capabilities to deliver.

For example, the Micromax Bolt A069 arrives on the market with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering an FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.

Moreover, Micromax has decided to include a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor in the phone, which should result in quite decent performance capabilities.

Unfortunately, there will be only 512MB of RAM next to the aforementioned processor, along with 4GB of internal memory. A microSD memory card slot will allow users to add up to 32GB of external storage space to it.

On the back, the Micromax Bolt A069 features a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, which should be able to record videos in HD resolution. A VGA front camera will also be there to enable video calling while on the go.

The new mobile phone arrives on the market in India only with support for 2G (EDGE) networks, although it does feature dual-SIM capabilities with dual standby. However, it will also include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Micromax Bolt A069 is powered by an 1800mAh battery that should offer up to 7 hours of talk time, or up to 210 hours standby.

Moreover, we should note that the new smartphone runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, most probably with Micromax’ own set of customizations and applications loaded on top.

As fonearena suggests, the new device is available for purchase in Tranquil Green, Pure Grey, Raging Red, Pristine White and Mellow Yellow color versions.

Although only eBay has added the mobile phone to its offering as of now, chances are that other retailers in India will make a similar move in the not-too-distant future. As it benefits from expanded availability, the smartphone could also see price cuts.

Entry-level devices are highly appreciated in India, especially those who feature dual-SIM capabilities, and Micromax Bolt A069 might prove a popular device as well. However, the fact that it lacks 3G connectivity might hurt sales, despite its low cost.
