Spotted several weeks ago, along with a its official specs sheet, Micromax A85's press photos have just been leaked.

Courtesy to the guys over at KnowYourMobile India, we can now admire the phone's entire design, which is not bad at all.

Although Micromax is focusing on delivering low- to mid-end devices on the Indian market, it appears that the regional handset manufacturer decided to raise its bar and enter the high-end segment with the upcoming A85 superphone.

Indian Android fans are probably aware of the fact that the A85 is the improved and enhanced follow-up of the popular Micromax A60 and A70 smartphones.

When it comes to hardware configuration, Micromax A85 stands out thanks to its dual core Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz, which makes it one of the most powerful smartphones launched by an Indian handset manufacturer.

However, the main downside of the smartphone is the fact that is delivered with Android 2.2 Froyo on board, instead of the latest Gingerbread operating system.

Furthermore, the smartphone packs 8GB of internal memory, 512MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion.

The generous 3.8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display (800 x 480 pixels resolution) is another strong point of the device, along with its gesture controls that seem to work smoothly, rumors claim.

The phone sports a 5-megapixel main camera (2592х1944 pixels) on the back, as well as a secondary VGA front facing camera for video calls.

According to the latest hearsay, Micromax A85 should provide users access to more than 200,000 apps via Android Market, and comes pre-loaded with Google's full suite, including Google search, Gmail, Maps and more.

Other highlights of the phone include: music and video player, image and video editor, document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), Picasa and SNS integration.

No word on the price yet, but Micromax A85 is likely to be the company's most expensive smartphone to date.
