Soon, Micromax will make official yet another affordable smartphone, namely the Micromax A71, which has already been listed online with a price tag of Rs. 6,750 ($110/€81) attached to it.

The yet unannounced handset can be seen listed at online retailer Flipkart in India now at the aforementioned cost, but it cannot be bought just yet.

As fonearena notes, the mobile phone comes as the successor of Canvas Viva A72, which was launched in April last year as the first budget handset in Micromax’s Canvas series.

The new device has the specs of its predecessor, but it also packs upgraded capabilities and should be able to offer users a better experience.

The new Micromax A71 was listed at the aforementioned retailer with a 5-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as with a 1GHz single-core ARM Cortex A5 processor inside.

Moreover, the smartphone features 512MB of RAM, along with 512MB of internal memory, which is paired with a microSD memory card slot, allowing users to add memory cards of up to 32GB.

The specifications list of the mobile phone also includes Dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby capabilities, support for 720p HD video playback, and FM Radio.

Connectivity-wise, the handset sports support for 3G networks, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth capabilities, along with a 3.5mm audio jack.

On the back, Micromax A71 features a 2-megapixel camera with LED flash, paired with a front camera for making video calls. At only 10 mm thick, the smartphone is powered by a 2000mAh battery that can deliver up to 5 hours of talk time, or up to 200 hours of standby time.

Micromax has loaded the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system on top of this device, and there’s little chance that it will deliver an OS upgrade to it.
