Micromax handset maker has just announced the immediate availability of A27 Ninja budget-friendly Android smartphone.

The device appeared on the company’s website less than a week ago, but no details on its availability and pricing options were available at that time.

Fortunately for Android fans in India, the smartphone hit shelves much sooner than expected and is now available for purchase via major retailers across the country.

As AndroidOS points out, Micromax A27 Ninja can now be purchased at Saholic for only Rs 3,400 outright, which is about $65 or €45. Check it out here.

Micromax A27 Ninja is a dual-SIM smartphone that ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system onboard. We don’t think this one will ever receive a major upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich, so customers should take this into consideration before buying it.

In fact, the smartphone barely meets the requirements to run ICS. It comes equipped with a 1GHz single-core processor and 256MB of RAM.

The A27 Ninja packs only 160MB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 16GB via microSD memory card.

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone sports a decent 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display, as well as a VGA rear photo snapper with video recording.

Obviously, the A27 Ninja offers dual-SIM connectivity, along with a neat feature called “Swipe ‘n’ Share” which enables users the option to share content from one handset to another by simply swiping their finger on the screen.

Other highlights of the phone include: instant messenger, email, music player, Google Play Store access and FM radio.

Last but not least, Micromax A27 Ninja is powered by a 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 9 days of standby time or up to 4.5 hours of talk time.
