Yesterday, info on a new Android-based smartphone from Micromax emerged online, and some more details on what the phone will have to offer when announced have leaked, along with a press photo with the device.

The mobile phone, said to arrive on shelves under the name of Micromax A190, should be able to provide users with high performance levels, while also boasting an appealing design.

The aforementioned leaked press photo with the smartphone has emerged online courtesy of @MMXNewscaster, and has been accompanied by updated info on the phone’s internal circuitry.

For example, the handset was initially said to arrive on shelves with a 6.3-inch touchscreen display, but it seems that this is not the case, and that it will actually be much smaller.

To be more precise, the smartphone is now said to land on shelves with a 5-inch touchscreen display, which should be able to deliver a 720p resolution.

The same as before, the Micromax A190 is expected to arrive on shelves with a 1.5GHz hexa-core MediaTek MT6591 processor inside.

Additionally, the mobile phone is rumored to feature 1GB of RAM, along with 8GB of internal memory, most probably accompanied by a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, the yet unannounced Micromax device will include an 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus, most probably capable of recording videos in full HD resolution. Moreover, it should sport a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The leaked info on Micromax A190’s specs suggests that a 2000mAh battery will be included in the device, yet no specific details on the usage time it will be able to deliver have been provided as of now.

What we do know on this smartphone, however, is the fact that Micromax is set to release it in Black and White color flavors, and that it will also load it with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system right from the start.

When released, A190 will include support for 3G networks, along with the usual WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS capabilities. Moreover, it will offer dual-SIM capabilities to its users.

One thing that you should keep in mind, however, is the fact that the mobile phone hasn’t been officially confirmed as of now. Thus, you should take the info above with a grain of salt.

It’s still uncertain when exactly the new Micromax A190 is set to become official, but chances are that it will be formally introduced sooner rather than later, most probably before the end of this summer. As it usually happens with Micromax devices, it should land on shelves soon after being officially launched.
