The controversial actor has a very weird way of acting when confronted with anger. No stranger to violence, Mickey cut his own little finger because he thought he could find no apparent use for it.
Rourke told the press that he was angry and was feeling very upset, took a long look at his finger and, because of its uselessness, decided to sever it from the rest of the hand. He did a pretty bad job, too, as he only managed to loosen it and it was left hanging by a tendon.
A friend found him (bloody from hand to foot, we might suspect) and rushed him and the detached finger to the hospital. There, the doctors were faced with a very time-consuming surgical intervention to repair what the unpredictable actor had done.
The former boxer and the perfect example of plastic surgery gone bad spoke about his visit to the hospital very calmly and apparently indifferently: 'It took the surgeon eight hours to sew it back on. I still can't bend it properly'.
Maybe (just for the sake of argument) his next visit to a hospital should have as purpose the curing of such violent and unjustifiable behavioral deviations.
