Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar, stars of TLC’s hit reality series 19 Kids and Counting, are working on that “counting” part from the name of the series. In a new interview, Ms. Duggar confirms that they’re trying for baby no. 20.

However, she is not expecting right now and, chances are, she might not even be able to conceive anymore, given that she’s 47 years old, she says, as cited by Us Weekly.

“I would hope, but we are not expecting right now,” she says.

“I would be so grateful if the Lord blessed us with another one. We're trying at this point and we shall see if that is a possibility. If not, we are so thankful and grateful for the ones that God has given us so far. We are also definitely enjoying our grandbabies! They are so precious!” she continues.

If they can’t have the baby naturally, Michelle and Jim Bob are hoping they might adopt and they’re seriously considering that option.

“We're praying about if the Lord would want us to adopt. We have set up our home to be designed for taking care of children. We love children, and we really believe every child is a special gift from God,” she says.

Michelle’s 20th child was stillborn in December 2011.

Since the couple shot to fame with the reality series, Ms. Duggar’s opinions on birth control and having so many children have caused serious waves in the media.

In one interview in particular she claimed that overpopulation didn’t exist and, as such, she could not stand to have anyone pointing fingers at her for having so many babies.

She also said she agreed with Mother Teresa on this, in that “to say there are too many children is saying there are too many flowers.”
