14 DAY TRIAL // Michelle Duggar, star of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting,” isn’t exactly known for being too fashionable, up to speed with the hottest trends in styling and haircare. This is why her kids and best friend decided to surprise her on her 46th birthday.
The strictly religious Duggar got a special makeover for the special day, which included a haircut (the most drastic she ever got), a blowout and straightening.

“Oh, wow,” the mother of 19 said when her makeover was complete and she got to look at herself in the mirror for the first time.
“It's definitely different,” she added, apparently ecstatic.
It didn’t last long though, this impression that the change was good for her. “I thought, this is what I look like when I get out of the shower,” she said.
Her husband, Jim Bob Duggar, might have contributed to Michelle’s decision to go back to her older hairstyle right after the special day.
“I do like it longer,” he said twice, for emphasis.
Consequently, the day after, Michelle went back to her curly hair.
This really shouldn’t surprise fans of the show, since Michelle has said various times that the key to a happy marriage and happy life is to always, no matter what, obey your husband.
“The more a wife trusts her husband, the more careful he will be in giving her direction; Never ask others for counsel without your husband’s approval; reassure your husband that you understand and believe that he is your God-given leader,” she said in an interview in February, as we also informed you.
“How can you become more of the wife of your husband’s dreams?; discover and conform to your husband’s real wishes; explain your hairstyle to others on the basis of your submission to your authority; separate your 'rights' from your responsibilities,” Michelle added.
