Michel Ancel, the video game developer best known for creating both the Rayman and the Beyond Good & Evil franchises, announces that he is now involved with a new video game studio called Wild Sheep, which also includes a number of experienced game makers.

The company is at the moment working on a new and original game, but the actual details are being kept secret for now.

Wild Sheep is not saying exactly when it will reveal the core story elements or the main mechanics of its title.

Ancel has long been employed by publisher Ubisoft and he is now saying that he is not leaving the company and plans to share his time between the two.

The game creator was most recently in charge of the concept, the core design and the direction for both Rayman Origins in 2011 and for Rayman Legends in 2013.

His work has been widely praised for its style and clear mechanics.

At the moment, a team led by Michel Ancel is supposed to be working on a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil, which has been announced for a long time but has not yet received any clear details.
