A jury found Dr. Conrad Murray guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of pop star Michael Jackson earlier this week. Juror number 5 is now talking to the press about reaching a decision, saying that, while it wasn't easy, it was definitely the right one.

Michael Jackson would “absolutely” be alive had it not been for Dr. Conrad Murray, ironically the man paid to take care of him, Debbie Franklin tells ABC, as the video below will confirm.

Not only did he not call 911 on time, but he also lacked the necessary equipment for the drugs he was administering, Franklin says.

Because of this, the jurors decided that he was guilty of Michael's death: he might not have set out deliberately to kill him, but he did so by acting in the most unprofessional and irresponsible manner.

Franklin says the decision that Murray was guilty was unanimous, but the jury went into the court room at the beginning of the trial with mixed opinions about him.

As the trial progressed and more evidence and testimonies came to light, the jurors were convinced that Murray was directly responsible for the King of Pop's death.

“Yes. Absolutely,” Franklin tells GMA when asked whether she believes Michael would still be with us had he not hired Murray as his personal physician.

“Conrad Murray did it. Conrad Murray agreed to be the one to go into the bedroom and do this. He [Jackson] was looking for somebody to say yes, and Conrad Murray said yes,” the juror says in the same interview.

“I believe he had issues, he had addictions, dependencies. He was looking for someone to say yes, and Dr Murray said yes,” Franklin says.

However, the jury was convinced that Murray didn't want to kill Michael, she adds.

“We don't think he even had a motive to do this. We think it was something that he was doing that was careless that got out of hand,” the juror stresses.

Even so, she wasn't surprised that Murray was led away in handcuffs and that the judge deemed him a “danger to society”: isn't a man found guilty of a crime supposed to be taken straight to jail, the juror asks.
