Not long ago, Jon Gosselin and Michael Lohan were best friends and, to some extent, even business partners. Lohan would often talk to the press on behalf of Gosselin and word had it that they were thinking of starring in a new reality show together as well. Since then, they have had a fall-out – and it’s only to become more accentuated, as Lohan has been served with papers to testify against Gosselin, TMZ informs.

TLC, the network that produced and carried the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” reality show until not long ago, is taking Mr. Gosselin to court for breach of contract. The scandal began a while back, when the network wanted to give him less airtime but more money on the condition that it retained exclusivity with him, and he turned down the offer. Not only that, but Mr. Gosselin also managed to successfully block production on what was supposed to be his estranged wife’s new show, “Kate Plus 8,” citing child exploitation as the main reason.

Consequently, TLC is taking him to court for breach of contract for talking to the media and basically cashing off his image when he was exclusively bound to the network. Among the witnesses that it is citing to testify in the case is also Michael Lohan, who can reportedly state for a fact that Gosselin was looking to launch a new reality show while he was still with TLC. Lohan, on his part, has already confirmed to TMZ having been served and will comply with the court order.

“When Michael Lohan returns home from his trip to Boston this weekend, he’ll have a present waiting for him – courtesy of the lawyers at TLC. Lohan tells TMZ he has been subpoenaed to testify in TLC’s breach of contract lawsuit against Jon Gosselin. He says he told the process server he was out of town, but that he accepts the papers and that she can leave them at his house. Michael says he hasn’t seen the papers yet,” TMZ writes.

As of now, Jon Gosselin is not allowed to talk to the media anymore on matters that are related to TLC and the reality show it made with him and soon to be ex-wife Kate. However, knowing Michael Lohan and his penchant for press statements, we’ll probably be hearing more on this soon, so keep an eye on this space.
