Former TLC star rants against the network that made him a star

Michael Lohan was, until not long ago, Jon Gosselin’s business partner. As Radar Online informs, he brokered several media deals for him, deals that later turned out to stand in direct violation of Gosselin’s exclusivity contract with TLC, for which reason the network took the matter to court. How exactly Jon felt about the TLC lawsuit and what his plans for action were has now been revealed in a leaked phone conversation.

Said conversation took place between Lohan and Gosselin, with the latter reportedly taking it then to Radar in exchange of an undisclosed sum. Whatever the reasons behind the leak, the tape will certainly do some serious damage to Gosselin’s case in court against TLC, especially since it has him declaring war on the network and clearly saying he knew he was in breach of contract but had no intention of changing his plans.

“He accuses the network of taking money for deals with two magazines and is angry that they didn’t share the wealth. […] It’s clear that Jon believes his [supposed] knowledge of these deals means TLC will not stop him from talking – and making financial deals. He says ‘They haven’t said [bleep].’ Jon then laments that he didn’t start speaking freely months ago and explains he held off because ‘They [TLC] tried to scare tactic me.’” Radar writes of the audio posted on the official webpage.

Also on the same occasion, Jon goes on to tell Lohan that, should he continue speaking publicly about the network – this was still early in the stages of the bitter feud and exchange of words –, his words would certainly translate into a financial hit for TLC, whose stock would fall. He also has a few things to say about his relationship with Kate Major, which he never publicly acknowledged, and that with Hailey Glassman, his girlfriend until recently when they broke up amidst allegations of emotional abuse.

“The recording comes at a key early point in Jon’s battle with TLC and is a phone call with Michael Lohan, who worked various financial deals with Jon – deals that TLC says violated the exclusivity portion of Jon’s contract. Jon appears concerned about that clause early in the conversation, when he talks about evading photographers. But as he continues talking, Jon reveals that everyone knows he is now talking freely and makes it clear that he thinks he has TLC afraid to stop him.” Radar further informs.
