Michael Jordan and his girlfriend of 5 years Yvette Prieto are officially husband and wife now. The couple, engaged since 2011, tied the knot yesterday in an impressive ceremony held in Palm Beach, Fla., it has emerged.

Congratulations are definitely in order!

This is Michael’s second marriage. He met Yvette in 2008, two years after he and his first wife Juanita Vanoy were divorced.

They got engaged 3 years later and applied for a marriage license this March. Yesterday, they got to say “I Do” and become united for life.

They celebrated afterwards with a party worthy of such a huge star as Michael is, People magazine reports.

“About 500 people arriving by tour buses piled into an Episcopal church called Bethesda-by-the Sea, where Donald Trump was married to Melania in 2005,” the celebrity publication writes.

“Jordan invited another 1,500 to join them for the reception at the Bears Club, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course community in Jupiter, Fla., where Jordan recently built a 38,000-square-foot home,” People adds.

Such a huge party required a lot of planning in advance, with an insider saying Michael and Yvette had been busy at this “for months and months.”

“He wanted to give Yvette everything she's ever wanted,” the insider adds – and that included the wedding of her dreams.

In March, shortly after they applied for the marriage license, Michael was hit with a paternity suit by a woman claiming she was the mother of his teen son, the result of a short affair in 1995.

The former NBA star strongly denied all the accusations, even if they were backed up by online statements by the teen boy as well.

Eventually, the case was dropped and Michael went back to focusing on his life with Yvette.

For the time being, these are all the details available on the ceremony. For more on the designer of the bride’s dress and the menu, check back with us and we’ll keep you updated.
