Michael Jackson, Behind the Myth – Video

As we were also saying a while back in one of our editorials, the world has wronged Michael Jackson, the late King of Pop, in ways some of us can't even begin to fathom. The video above will make it easier to understand how that came to happen.

Sent our way by one of Michael's millions of fans and truth-seekers, the 20-minute video does a brilliant job at explaining how the singer was wronged in life – there where words could probably fail.

“Repeat something enough times, and it becomes real” - this is exactly what happened to Jackson once he became tabloid fodder.

While alive, the tabloids used every Jackson connection they could find (or make up) to cash in on his fame. In doing so, they soiled his reputation, made his generous and kind charitable endeavors pass by unnoticed, and ultimately broke his spirit.

The way Jackson as a person was treated in the final years of his life by the media is the biggest case of public bullying ever recorded. If we don't acknowledge that, there's no lesson learned and he would have died a broken man in vain.

To all those who believed the rumors about “Wacko Jacko,” “Michael the freak” or any other label the tabs pinned to his name, to all those who say he was never anything more than what was written in the press, to all those who didn't bother to know him as his fans did: take 20 minutes and watch the video above.

Michael gave a lot of his own time to us, it's the least we can do.

Let us know what you made of the clip in the comments section below.

MJ was a gift, an inspiration for mankind and it broke my heart to see unverified reports being cooked up by much of the media for the sake of seeking publicity and to gain mileage out of the false accusations and disrespectful coverage of this wonderful human being. I am not even going to comment on what a big impact he had on the music industry .. afterall he literally fathered the very ideas of MTV videos and style of recording that have become a bible of sorts for the rest to follow. Today an artist gets one hit and he becomes a mega star ... this man - MJ - is then, by far, a demi-god or the real 'King'. We made fun of him when he was alive and now that he is gone, the reality of the lack of musical talent and the infiltration of unwarranted computer generated virtual sounds has suddenly become apparent and now we wish we had done much more to save this iconic national treasure. $650 Billion were given away as bonuses to executives from Wall Street for destroying the very foundation of capitalism and I was wondering if a billion could have staved off Michael's loans and rehabilitated him to glorious days once again. But the chances were 1:650 as we see and this star was made to fall. He was made to fall .. he was made to fall. This was a defeat of humanity. The sheer work he has done is good enough for the rest of this planet's life .. he will be amongst those revered for their immense contribution for the the actual 'welfare' of society. He should have been saved but as they say good things come to an end sooner than expected and its upto us to carry the torch forward with love and respect for the man - Michael Jackson. Long live the King !!
