When at the Jackson California home to interview Katherine Jackson, Oprah also got the chance to sit down with Michael’s three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket, in what is the first interview ever to be conducted with them.

Despite the fact that certain members of the family opposed the idea of having Oprah interview the children, especially since it was known to what great lengths Michael went to to shield them from the media, the segment aired just recently.

Blanket, because of his age, comes across as a bit too shy and only answers questions that are not directed at him, but Prince and Paris are very open about what they want to do with their life and what a wonderful father Michael was.

Prince, for instance, reveals he’s already decided what he wants to do when he grows up: he plans to be in showbiz too, but not in music. He wants to “produce movies and direct,” he says.

Paris too believes a career in the movies is what will work out best for her, but she, in turn, dreams of on in front of the camera, not behind it.

“I’d like to be an actress when I’m older. I sometimes do improvs. I used to do them with my dad,” Paris reveals, adding that she also wants to go to school to become a good actress.

Oprah also asks the two how they felt having to go out in public, when they were younger, with their faces covered with a veil or a mask – as Michael was adamant the media did not have pictures of his children.

The reason behind that, Prince explains, was to offer them the chance to step out in public without him without people knowing who they were. Michael was trying to give them a normal life in part-anonymity.

“I appreciated it. It wasn’t always comfortable, but yes. He tried to raise us without [us] knowing who he was, but that didn’t go so well,” Paris adds.

If they were to describe Michael, perhaps “best dad ever” would suit him best, the children say. This is a side of the late star that the public never saw – which is also why they agreed to go on Oprah to speak about it.
