La Toya Jackson is pleased that one of her late brother’s songs is getting so much airplay as “This Is It,” the single released by the MJ Estate and Sony to promote the upcoming docu-film. However, the star is not so sure that Michael would have liked the film itself, since he was always such a perfectionist, she tells AccessHollywood.

As per La Toya’s own words, she’s almost certain Michael would not have liked or approved of the upcoming film, also called “This Is It,” since it does not represent a complete work. The docu-film is made of the over 100 hours of footage shot during rehearsals for the London O2 Arena series of shows at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, as we also reported on previous occasions. As such, Michael would have never put out there a work that consisted of rehearsals, La Toya believes.

“You know what, that’s a very, very, very good question.” La Toya says when asked of whether Michael would have liked the film. “Truthfully, my opinion – no. Michael always wants to give his best. This is a rehearsal. He wasn’t giving his all. He loves to give his all always. That’s just the way he is. He wants people to see him at the top of the ladder and not half-stepping because he doesn’t want to do a full-out rehearsal.” the star adds.

However, La Toya is happy that “This Is It” the song has been released because, as she puts it, Michael needs to be out there and it’s been quite a while since he hasn’t released any new song. The single will keep the King of Pop’s legacy alive, which is also among the things the remaining brothers and sisters are striving for.

“It’s wonderful to hear something from him because he hasn’t had anything out in awhile.” La Toya says. Moreover, even if she personally believes Michael would not have released footage from the rehearsals, she has no plans to fight the film or in any way block it from coming out. “I will support my brother in any way I can. I love him.” La Toya explains.
