Michael Jackson has been approached by the Irish boyband Westlife to record a song together next year.
Jackson, 47, who left his residence from Neverland Valley Ranch in California for Bahrain after his June acquittal on sex abuse charges, decided to return to the spotlight by recording "From the Bottom of my Heart", the charity single for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The pop singer has already recruited several famous artists, like Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, Babyface, R, Kelly, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg, Kravitz, Jay-Z, Kenneth Babyface Edmonds and James Brown.
And because Jackson is such an inspiration for them all, Westlife, wanting to impress their young fans, decided to ask the superstar to record a song with them the next year.
The group's manager Louis Walsh says: "Michael Jackson is an inspiration and we are approaching him.
The boys have sung with Diana Ross and Mariah Carey on their new album. So we thought: 'Who next?' Jackson would be great."
