Reports and speculation about Michael Jackson’s health have been circulating in the media for many years and, as fans must know, they were never confirmed in any way by the singer or his representatives. On this note, The Sun is now saying that the King of Pop has been diagnosed with skin cancer last month, but has been given every guarantee that he will pull through it.

According to sources reportedly close to the star, well familiar with his health issues, Jackson was initially devastated when he was told that he had skin cancer. In recent weeks, though, doctors assured him that his condition was improving and he was en route to full recovery – which also means neither fans nor AEG Live organizers need to worry about the upcoming 50 dates of the “This Is It” tour on London’s O2 Arena this summer.

“Michael’s tests showed spots of skin cancer on his body, and cells which could turn to skin cancer on his face. He was at first very concerned, but says he has been assured by the doctors that they can treat this and he will recover. Michael is really looking forward to his concerts and is determined to wow his fans at each and every gig. He said he’s insisted that any treatment must fit around the concerts, and the show will go on.” The Sun writes, citing the unnamed, but presumably very reliable, source.

As usual, Michael’s management is adamant on not making any comment regarding the singer’s health, which might very well mean that this allegation borders on the absurd, it has been said. The fact that no change has been made to the schedule of the upcoming shows when he was supposedly diagnosed with such a serious condition can also be seen as a clear indication that this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, if not actually more.

Speaking of Jackson’s health following the highly mediated comeback announcement back in March, Dr. Tomhe, one of the singer’s business managers, insisted the “This Is It” tour should show people just in how well a condition Michael was. “He’s come back to put an end to all the bull[expletive] rumors about his health. I think he has answered his critics. He is back to his old self – he’s fine, and couldn’t be in better shape. He was away for all this time because he was dedicating his life to his children and being a single parent.” Dr. Tomhe said, as quoted by the above-mentioned British publication.
