Despite the fact that he has been dead for five years now, the legacy of Michael Jackson still continues to haunt some people that were connected to him during his life. It's the case of singer Brandon Howard, who has been rumored to be the illegitimate son of Michael Jackson thanks to his uncanny resemblance to the late pop superstar, in terms of physical appearance, voice and mannerism.

The guy who now goes by the name of B Howard, has been called the “reincarnation of the King of Pop” which is why so many people are now reacting to the possibility that Jackson fathered an illegitimate child 31 years ago.

The entire DNA test results campaign has a big question mark floating over it, a fact also noticed by TMZ who is reporting the story. It's being pushed by Alkiviades “Alki” David and his production company, FilmOn and they made a big show out of unveiling the test results in a press conference on Thursday which revealed a 99.9% compatibility between Jackson and Howard.

The test results were presented in a sealed envelope and were claimed to have been performed at two separate facilities in Utah and in Ireland. Upon delivering the exciting news, the entire panel of people present at the event, including Jackson's former friend, Corey Feldman, rushed in to take a look at the numbers printed on the sheet.

Doctor Joseph Goodman, the man who revealed the test results, is a dental surgeon in Beverly Hills who claims to have bought a dental device that used to belong to Jackson at an auction and from it he obtained the DNA sample used for comparison.

The interesting fact is that B Howard has posted a video on his Facebook page in which he wants to make it very clear that he is distancing himself from this inquiry and is not interested in following up on the whole “son of Michael Jackson issue.”

In his video, he claims “Number one, I did not call TMZ or anything like that. Didn’t put out a story, nothing. Number two, I’ve never self-proclaimed to be Michael Jackson’s son. Number three, I’m definitely not suing the estate. I’ve been taken care of very well. Number four, it is true I did do a DNA test but it had nothing to do with any of this.”

The story about Howard's origins are controversial enough to fuel such rumors. Brandon's mother is Miki Howard, a gospel singer who used to tour with Michael and also be represented by his father, the famous Joe Jackson.

Conspiracy theories have linked Brandon's birth as occurring one year after the controversial song “Billie Jean” came out. Apart from being one of Michael's most famous songs, the track has lyrics in which Michael says “Billie Jean's not my lover ... but the kid is not my son.”

Furthermore, it seems that Howard's mother, Miki, went by the nickname “Billie,” a fact which also supports the illegitimate son theory and would explain Michael's weird choice of lyrics.

Finally, there is a man, Augie Johnson, who was a back-up singer on Michael Jackson's “Off the Wall” album, who has claimed to be the biological father of Brandon Howard and has even agreed to do a DNA test.

Meanwhile, Howard Weitzman, a lawyer for Michael Jackson's estate has told TMZ that “We've never even heard from him ... Any deadline for claiming to be Michael's child has long since passed.”

So, at this point, it does look like this entire campaign to reveal an illegitimate child of the pop star is highly suspicious and those directly affected want nothing to do with it or the alleged results it offers.
