According to rumors, superstar Michael Jackson likes to think that he is an 800-year old British knight.
Jackson, 47, who made his first public appearance in London, after the molestation trial from June, checked into Dorchester Hotel as Sir William Marshal, who has been described as the "greatest knight that ever lived".
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Michael likes to use various pseudonyms when he books into hotels. William Marshal appealed to him because he's such a huge fan of British aristocracy.
He picked the name himself partly as a tribute and partly to divert attention from himself. He thinks that Lords and Ladies stay at the Dorchester all the time."
Michael Jackson came in UK to record his comeback single, "From the Bottom of my Heart", the charity song for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, R, Kelly, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg, Lenny Kravitz, Jay-Z, Kenneth Babyface Edmonds and James Brown are among the celebrities that have already signed up for the song.
