Actor says her reputation precedes her, doesn’t want any of the drama

Michael J. Fox isn’t out to court drama so he’d very much singer Taylor Swift stayed away from his son, Sam, he says openly in a new interview with Vulture magazine.

In case you’re out of the loop here, here’s a bit more background info: it all started with a joke hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made at the Golden Globes 2013 last weekend, “warning” Taylor to back off and not go after Sam.

Vulture met with Sam’s dad, who is now making his comeback to the small screen with a new project, and actually asked him if he’d ever approve such a relationship.

Turns out, he wouldn’t. If anything, he’d like it if the unlucky in love singer stayed away from Sam.

“No. No... Just back off. I don’t keep up with it all. But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career,” the actor tells Vulture.

He explains that he doesn’t personally know Taylor and doesn’t even know how she looks, but the mere fact that she writes songs about her exes is enough to tell him she’s bad news.

“So if Swift showed up to a Fox family dinner (possibly wearing her fox sweater), how would [you] react?” Vulture asks.

“I wouldn’t even know who she was,” the actor responds.

“But it'd probably dawn on [you] after the breakup song hit the radio,” says the Vulture reporter.

“Yeah, exactly. ‘Sam, You Piece of [expletive].’ Oh… that was the girl you brought home!” the actor laughs.

Most recently, Taylor famously dated and broke up with Harry Styles of One Direction. If one is to believe ongoing reports, she’s now holed up in the studio, writing sad music about their short-lived romance and heartbreaking split, and possibly blaming it all on him.
