Michael Douglas Waited 9 Months For A First Kiss

Michael Douglas, now 61-years-old, has lived a teenager-like story at the beginning of his relationship with Catherine Zeta Jones.

The two met at the Deauville Film Festival in France, in August 1998, began dating in March 1999 and got engaged on New Year's Eve in 1999.

What is less known is that Douglas had to wait 9 months before he first kissed Zeta-Jones.

As the actress has confessed when describing their courtship, she "was a good Welsh girl".
Douglas was first mesmerized by Zeta's appearance as the fiery Elena Montero in Zorro.

The two got married in November 2000 and have two children: a son, Dylan Michael (5), and a daughter, Carys Zeta Douglas (2).

The beautiful actress used to be terrified at the beginning of her career that people won't see her true self because of her appearances. She has recently confessed that walking on the red carpet to the Oscars is more difficult for her than actually winning the award.
