Love doesn't know boundaries and norms, and it certainly doesn't care if the ink on the divorce papers has dried. Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are the best example of that: they're back together again.

As fans of Showtime's “Dexter” must already know, Michael and Jennifer met and fell in love on the set of the highly popular series, but things didn't really work out in the end.

In December 2010, just as rumors were starting to emerge that they were thinking of trying for a baby, confirmation came that they had separated – and would be filing for divorce.

The cause, they claimed in court documents, was “irreconcilable differences” and they refrained from making any other statements about the state of their marriage.

A couple of weeks ago, rumors began to pick up that they were actually back together. TMZ has confirmation of that.

Michael and Jennifer were spotted together again on a romantic stroll – and the paparazzi photos speak volumes: they're seen kissing, holding hands and basically acting all couple-y.

“Although 'Dexter' co-stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter finalized their divorce in December, the former couple couldn't be any closer as they walked arm-in-arm and snuggled in Venice Beach on Wednesday. So much for irreconcilable differences,” TMZ writes.

Fans of the television series, which focuses on a blood spatter analyst who moonlights as a serial killer / vigilante (Carpenter plays his cop foster sister), must be sighing a sigh of relief right now.

Back in August last year, after they filed for divorce, Carpenter and Hall returned to work on “Dexter” and rumors claimed they were having issues with their roles and especially the bond their characters share, because of the not so amicable split.

At one point, there was even talk about how producers might kill Jennifer's Deb character on the show, just to be able to keep Michael from walking out.
