Michael Bay is not saying a word on rumors that “Transformers 4” will have a female lead instead of just finding a replacement for Shia LaBeouf’s character, but he does have the time to address another one: that of Mark Wahlberg’s involvement.

Twitch reported the other day that Bay had met with Wahlberg, concluding that he wanted him for the lead in “Transformers 4.”

As it turns out, they did meet but not for this reason, Bay himself says on his official webpage.

“The Mark Wahlberg T4 rumor is just a rumor. Mark and I are talking about another film project,” Bay writes.

This would be the second film they’re working on together, since Mark has already shot his part on “Pain and Gain,” a passion project for Bay, which also stars Dwaynes “The Rock” Johnson.
