Speakers looking like mice, pretty much useless but so cute!

Well, it feels quite nice to write about all sorts of little things and gadgets whose utility is in serious doubt and which - funny thing - sell very well. Why? I just don't know, maybe it's just because they look nice; people like buying things that look good even though they will most likely never use them.

From fairly usable things down to the most absurd or hilarious ones, these thingies make excellent funny presents for undemanding occasions and friends with sense of humor. It's the case of the Forus Mouse Speakers, some small loudspeakers shaped like mice and finished in bright colors, perfectly matching their almost cartoonesque[admark=1] shape.

Still, there are no exact specs on these speakers, in terms of power, frequency range and so on and I sincerely doubt someone will ever look at them out of anything else than plain and simple curiosity. It's not like you can crank them up and throw a desktop mini-party... they're just made to be there, to further crowd up your tabletop and stick out from the piles of papers you have to fill in.

I am not so sure people who hate mice in real life will hate these speakers, too: after all, they're just speakers and they can do no harm, except when being thrown aiming at someone's head.

The Forus Mouse Speakers come in black, candy apple red and lime green; if black is simple traditional for a loudspeaker's color, the other two are true classics for gadgets of this kind and they tend to make a good family with the Planets. The very heads of the mice pop open and reveal the tiny concave-diaphragm speakers (concave = efficiency in moving air, remember?) Closed or open, the Forus Mouse Speakers look funny and will make every person entering your office go "wheee, what are those?"

I (for one) guess I'd buy a pair to make fun of my female work fellows and to see what reaction would my cat have... Unfortunately, these speakers are only available at Shinsegae Mall, for $18,50 a pair.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
