Vivendi Universal Games announced the development of Miami Vice The Game for the PSP, a thrilling third-person action shooter game inspired by the Universal Pictures crime drama, Miami Vice, in theaters July 28, 2006. The game, developed by UK-based Rebellion, will be available exclusively for the PSP system in July 2006.

The Miami Vice Game has a strong story line, where in the players step into the role of Crockett or Tubbs, undercover cops in the notorious world of Miami Vice. Players have to build up the nefarious reputation necessary to infiltrate the seedy underbelly of South Beach, and ultimately bring down the organization of an "untouchable" South American drug lord. The coolest thing about the game is that the gamers can either step into the role of Crockett or Tubbs or team up via wireless to play each mission cooperatively.
