Mia Amber Davis’ Mysterious Death Explained by Blood Clot

Yesterday, waves of shock tore through the fashion industry, as word spread that plus size model and actress Mia Amber Davis died. She was just 36 years old and had undergone knee surgery just the day before.

As it turns out, the preliminary investigation into what may have caused her untimely demise points out that the surgical intervention may have played a very important part in it, E! Online reports.

The family is still in shock, but perhaps no one is more confounded than Mia’s husband, Michael Yard, who spoke to her after she came out of knee surgery and she seemed perfectly fine.

Hours later, she was dead.

Dr. Mignon R. Moore, Mia’s cousin, is telling E! that the coroner’s office contacted Michael yesterday to let him know that the preliminary indication would seem to indicate that Mia’s death was caused by a blot clot.

“Nothing has been confirmed but the coroner did tell us that he thinks Mia died from a blood clot related to the knee surgery. We are just now finding this out that this is all too common and people don’t know the risks of arthroscopic surgery. They need to be made aware of the risks,” Mignon tells E! about the star’s death.

Apparently, she agreed to have surgery because her knee problems, stemming from an old sports injury, had been getting worse in recent months.

“She had long-term problems with her knee. It was always swollen, she couldn’t walk on it. She had big plans and was so excited about life. She was producing Divorce Court here in LA,” Mia’s cousin explains.

“The family is devastated. This was such an unexpected loss, and she went to a very reputable physician. I took her myself on the day of her surgery and within 24 hours she was dead,” she adds.

As we also informed you yesterday, Mia’s husband told the media that he last spoke with his wife after she came out of the surgery. He was in New York.

Hours later, she complained of dizziness, was taken to the hospital and died.
