A hacker called Rexoman of the Bangladeshi Cyber Army has managed to breach a server owned by Mexican hosting company Krystal Host. By gaining access to the server, the attacker was able to deface a number of 1,169 websites hosted on it.

A Pastebin document published by the hacker reveals not only the entire list of affected domains, but also the details of the Linux server on which the sites are hosted.

The attacker didn’t deface the sites’ main page, but instead, added a file called rexo.html to each one of them.

The reasons for the attack were not revealed. However, hackers from Pakistan, Bangladesh and other similar Asian countries perform such attacks simply to show off, or to prove that a particular website is vulnerable.

At the time of writing, most of the websites still appear to host the arbitrary file added by the hacker.
