Metroid Prime Hunters is a first-person shooter and adventure game created exclusively for the Nintendo DS, developed by NST (Nintendo Software Technology), a first-party developer for Nintendo, based in Redmond in North America, and released in 2006. Like its predecessor Metroid Prime, Nintendo has dubbed it a first-person adventure rather than a first-person shooter due to the large amount of exploration elements in the game, classic to any Nintendo title.
The rather unusual focus on exploration and discovery has made Nintendo create a sub-genre in the First Person Shooter class, calling the Metroid Prime games first person adventure titles. The release features the same main character, the beautiful Samus Aran, who, sadly, is under her heavy armor throughout the game. This armor, coupled with the unique weapons, allows Samus to transform into her trademark Morph Ball state, which make her rapidly take out many enemies in a short time.
The game was well received, and has enjoyed quite a lot of popularity with fans, largely due to the fact that the multiplayer mode, which harnessed the Wi-Fi capabilities of the Nintendo DS, was well built and had a lot of various options, including the one enabling voice chat, through the built-in microphone. Here are a couple of things that might help in the adventures of Samus versus the Metroids.
GLITCHES
Multi-player: Run while floating on wall
This trick requires two Nintendo DS systems and the game for both of them. Start a multi-player game on the Ancient Vestige level. Once both players are in the game, have them go to the corridor showed on the right side of the map (with the damage power-up in it). At the beginning of the corridor (where it connects to the rest of the level), have one player face the wall with two pipes running horizontal on it. Then, jump forward towards the pipes and continue to walk forward. Your screen should shake up and down while you are running forward. The other player should then look at the player who is still walking into the wall. The other player should see the person running in place, floating above the ground in front of the wall.
