Developers announced they have been unable to fix these issues

One of the most popular YouTube clients for Windows Phone, MetroTube has just been removed from Windows Phone Store. In fact, it was the developer that decided to drop support for the application due to some issues that can’t be fixed apparently.

The good news is that only the Windows Phone 7 version of MetroTube has been removed from the Store, so those who own Windows Phone 8 or 8.1 devices will still be able to download and install the application.

According to developers, the reasons behind their decision are the recent video playback problems, which they were unable to address until now.

So, due to these issues, MetroTube for Windows Phone 7 has been unpublished from the store indefinitely. Windows Phone users with older devices might want to check out other alternatives as MetroTube does not seem to return to Windows Phone Store anytime soon.

It’s also worth mentioning that MetroTube for Windows Phone is not a free application, as those who wish to take advantage of what it has to offer must pay a $0.99 one-time fee.

Furthermore, there’s also a trial version available for download, so Windows Phone users can try it out before purchase. Hopefully, these video playback issues will eventually be fixed later rather than never.
